Mad - A - Gas - Car (Haha)

Haha...and so I've watche it! Madagascar Escape 2 Africa takes of from where we last see these 4 'New Yorkers'. While the previous movie was about their coming to realization how completely clueless they were about the world outside the zoo or 'The Wild', this second movie is about going back to their roots, in other words - AFRICA.

Alright, let's just cut to the chase. I just love this movie. It's just full of Merapu-ing.Haha. Yes, notice the capitalized 'M'.It's not so much about the storyline but the characters that got me in stitches throughout the movie especially the 4 penguins aka the 'Happy Flappers' - Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, Private and the ultimate King of Merapu-ness, King Julien. And this movie has a lot of memorable lines that no matter how many times you hear it or repeat it to yourself (haha), laughter would surely proceed afterwards.

My favourite line so was when Skipper told the... I don't know what you call it but I'm just gonna refer it as the 'shaking' doll, haha... you know, those dolls that you put near the dashboard in your car that shakes? Yup, that one... LOL. And yes, back to the line. Skipper said

'Why doll, you're shaking like a leaf!'

I was laughing like hell when that line came out! Their plane was crashing so of course the doll thingy was shaking like mad. And the fact that he called the thing 'Doll' makes it a hell lot funnier. What's even merapu is the part where the Happy Flappers were negotiating with the 'Higher Mammals' aka the monkeys about maternity leave. It's total merapu-ness I tell you! Aha!There's Skipper's doll...

And they actually got married in the end. LOL. Noticed the duct tape? Poor gal, had too many accidents.

And of course, who can resist King Julien's charm. This guy I tell you is just full of nonsense and as we've seen in the previous movie, is so full of himself. Only in this movie, he goes more beserk. Haha.

"If I had only two days to live, I would invade a neighboring country, and force my ideology on them, whether they wanted it or not."

A great politician in the making.

But he looks weird without his crown though.
Never mind let him be King. Just imagine if he joined our Sidang Parlimen.

Kematangan

Kematangan. Sesuatu yang sukar untuk diperjelaskan apatah lagi digambarkan. Maksudnya sudah tentu saja terdapat dalam mana-mana kamus Dewan Bahasa tetapi maksud perkataan itu pastinya berbeza buat setiap individu. Bukan begitu? Entahlah. Tapi yang pasti kematangan tidak boleh diukur oleh umur kerana orang yang telah lanjut usianya pon belum tentu lagi matang pemikirannya. Minda belum merdeka. Haha. Klise sungguh bunyinya. Tetapi inilah hakikat. Kematangan itu terbentuk apabila kedua-dua otak dan hati digunakan untuk berfikir. Kematangan itu lahir apabila keputusan yang dibuat bukan mengikut hawa nafsu semata-mata. Dan kematangan itu akan lebih menyerlah apabila seseorang itu mengakui kesilapan diri, bukan menuding jari dan terus merperbaiki diri. Tiada siapa yang sempurna di dunia ini. Oleh sebab itu, jadikan kesilapan semalam pengajaran buat hari ini dan hari-hari berikutnya. Aku sendiri tidak pasti jika aku ini telah matang tetapi aku yakin... Aku lebih matang dari semalam.

My college buddies and I have made Miss Curly Wurly's still-unpacking-yet-beautiful-home our assignment HQ. It is in this building, specifically in Miss Curly Wurly's room where we held our so- called 'operations' often working into the wee hours of the night. Those of us who smoke (Miss Curly Wurly herself and Mr Aloe Vera) would willingly empty their box of cigarettes whenever pressure strikes. For those who dont smoke (Me, MaduBerdarah, Yellow Aunty, Petani and Thambi) we would either discuss other unrelated issues or amuse ourselves by watching Gizmo the Cat. If none of that works, well we could always jumped into the pool which is just one level down Ms CW's balcony.

As I'm typing this, I am greatly restraining myself from just slumping my head at the computer desk. What's wrong with my coffee today? Come on buddy, arouse me! Ignite my senses or whatever it is they say in the ads!

It has been 2 days since I've undergone yet another year of 'proses penuaan' (I like how you put it Chef! Hehe). To tell you the truth, I would've forgotten entirely (alright, maybe not entirely) about my birthday if not for the 'merpati dua sejoli'. Can you believe they actually discussed about buying my present in front of me? Of course they didn't reveal the details but they seem to enjoy bringing up the subject whenever possible. 'Ko mesti ske nye la bende tu' ...'You nak bagi hadiah dia bile?... 'Kita org nak beli present ko ari ni' Haha. So much for element of surprise huh? On the contrary, I was very much surprised when I unwrapped the present that those 2 plus Farah (whom they've managed to rope in into this scheme) gave me. I was laughing my head of when I saw it. It was a train set! A bloody real train set unlike the imaginary ones in my head. I remembered mentioning one or two times that I would really love to have a train set and maybe some car models or the double decker bus one day and display it in my house. And what do you know, these 2 cartoons actually remembered that I like trains and what's even more surprising is that they actually bought it! Haha... I just love you guys. Possibly the best couple that I've ever known in my entire life. But then again, you guys are probably the only couple that I know much about. Haha. Thanks a lot and thank you everyone who wished me: Chef, Wicked Witch of the East and West and all you facebook people who suddenly contacted me on my birthday after a long period of silence. I'll post pictures next time.
