My Token of Appreciation

I've always wondered how it feels like to be a housewife. No, I'm not kidding. Ever since I was a child I've wondered a few times (not always haha) what it was like to be cleaning and cooking and taking care of your family. (Don't ask me why because I don't have a definitive answer. Perhaps it is just my nature. I love to think. But often the questions that I've concocted in my head go unanswered. Hmm.) Well, for the past almost 3 months ago, I've been doing just that and I must say I now have a total respect for all mothers and women in general who painstakingly do the aforementioned tasks(and more of course). Oh, and let's not forget the single dads and stay-at-home dads.

It's not that I've never cooked or swept before. In fact, I do that every semester break and whenever I don't have assignments. It's just that, this time around I have a more sense of appreciation towards life especially the little tiny inny-minny(lol) minuscule things in life. I feel blessed. I now realize just how hard my mother is working... how much my two sisters have grown.. how my grandmother truly love all of us and how my father hides his worries with a smile. I didn't realize how much I was missing all this while while I've been in college. I do come back during the weekends but I guess I just get caught up with my assignments and studies too much. I do realize that I'm lucky. At least, I have the privilege of going back home to my family eventhough if it's only for 2 days. Some people have to endure long periods of seperation. It's funny how we sometimes forget just how wonderful life is.

I truly am blessed and I thank God for that.

The Chef and the Penyu

Haha. What a day. I don't think I've ever laughed so much like I did approximately 7 hours ago. Chef and I went over to Dr Penyu's house today. I drove dengan penuh riak dan takbur nye. Mwahaha. What da hell. Mane de Pak Cik hamzah oi... Risau saya bawak anak pak cik. Haha. So, anyway I picked Chef up from PGRM before heading to Dr Penyu's. I haven't been to her place for quite a while. The last time I went was in 2006. Thank God her house wasn't that far so I still remember where it is. I'm quite useless with directions. NO! NO! Must think positive. I can remember. I know I can. Haha. Well, good luck to me then.

Immediately after welcoming us to her home we broke into a series of bickering, laughing and cursing. Lol. Chef was doing a lot of the cursing. Dr Penyu and I did most of the laughing. It was amusing to watch Chef spilling her heart out about her life in Dungun, Terengganu. Ayat memang x leh bla minah tu. Da la pakai sume merah. Seb bek jeans warna biru. Still ushering the year of the ox I suppose. Haha.

Moments later, Dr Penyu's mom invited us to eat and so we happily gobbled up the fried beehon, daging ashura and keropok in between chats and laughter. Thank god no one got choked. Mwahaha. We spend most of the time chatting and merapu-ing. I practically enjoyed being spastik. Haha. It's been awhile since I've been spastik. I dunno why. Hmm... And of course any outing with Chef will never be complete without a photo shoot and so like any normal person we posed and act spastik for the camera. Actually I was the only one who was 'woohoo-gila' mwahaha. Anyway, we had a great time. I had a great time. I haven't lepak and merapu with them for I dunno how long but I did went out with Chef the other day. Both of them will be leaving KL tomorrow. Chef to Dungun and Dr Penyu to Bandung, Indonesia. Sigh. I will indeed miss them. Dunno when I'll see them again. Tak pe la..Kalau ade rezeki tu adela ye dak? Hehe.

Good luck and take care my sahabats! Akan ku doakan kejayaan kalian hingga ke akhir hayat.

There's Nothing All Around Me

Yes, I've realized that I've not updated anything.. Nothing interesting enough to write anyway. Haha...So this is just one of the many songs that I really like. My current favourite is Just Dance.
Love Lady Gaga. Jadi... Hayatilah lirik nya...Wakaka...
Here's All Around Me by Flyleaf... Cam radio DJ la plak.. haha

"All Around Me"

My hands are searching for you
My arms are outstretched towards you
I feel you on my fingertips
My tongue dances behind my lips for you

This fire rising through my being
Burning I'm not used to seeing you

I'm alive, I'm alive

I can feel you all around me
Thickening the air I'm breathing
Holding on to what I'm feeling
Savoring this heart that's healing

My hands float up above me
And you whisper you love me
And I begin to fade
Into our secret place

The music makes me sway
The angels singing say we are alone with you
I am alone and they are too with you

I'm alive, I'm alive

I can feel you all around me
Thickening the air I'm breathing
Holding on to what I'm feeling
Savoring this heart that's healing

And so I cry
The light is white
And I see you

I'm alive, I'm alive, I'm alive

I can feel you all around me
Thickening the air I'm breathing
Holding on to what I'm feeling
Savoring this heart that's healing

Take my hand
I give it to you
Now you own me
All I am
You said you would never leave me
I believe you
I believe

I can feel you all around me
Thickening the air I'm breathing
Holding on to what I'm feeling
Savoring this heart that's healed

A quotation

It's a tragedy in the sense that any love involves loss, and that's the risk you take. And the greater the love, the greater the loss.

Hit Me Baby One More Time!

Once again I have driven my mom's 'baby' car into yet another mishap. I say 'baby' because the Viva is barely a year old. Sigh.Poor child. Barely a year old and already it has scars and now dents all over its body. I bet the car would've committed suicide by now if it was a living thing. But then again, who knows? Maybe it has grown immune to bumping into poles, walls and other cars. It's like a game of football. The players know what they're in for whenever they trod on to the field. Injuries are bound to happen but of course they would want to avoid them if possible. Same goes to yours truly here. But sigh... luck was not on my side and so the 'baby' had to suffer -yet again.

This most unfortunate event started after my short yet stressful visit to Ampang. After dropping my mother at the LRT station near our residence(haha...sounds like I live in a very posh area but no I don't), I drove to Ampang Point with my sister to get some vitamins. This is where the whole thing starts. Nope, not the accident but this was how my seemly good day turned into a not so good day. The place was PACKED LIKE CRAZY! A lot of cars were coming in but none where going out! It's like the Muslims pilgrimage to Mecca I tell you(Haha okay maybe not). I kept hoping and praying that there will be a parking space but there weren't any! Thanks to the massive jam I was rewarded with a headache. Great! Just what I need. And the schorching sun didn't help much either. Thank you green house gases.

After making a few rounds aka tawaf I gave up and decided to head back home. Since my sister was having a sort of allergy on her finger we decided to stop at the clinic near our home. Aha! Now this is where it starts. I was happily driving at a very normal speed...not too fast and not too slow...60km/hour when I finally reached the T-junction. I had to make a right turn so I waited as there was another car infront of me who also wanted to turn right. Once the car infront of me turned, I turned as well because I was pretty sure that I did not see any incoming vehicle on the other lane. And then it happened. As I was turning, a blue and redish object loomed in front of me and hit my mom's car on the left side. Thank God it wasn't that bad and my sister was okay. It was sort off like a bump but of course it wasn't just a bump for the car. The car was pretty dented on the left side.

Anyway, after the accident I found a parking spot so I parked the car and what do you know the taxi driver came and asked 'So macam mane ni?' I was just blank. I tell you I was shaking like mad! or in Skipper the penguin's word 'I was shaking like a leaf'. Hehe. He kept asking how I wanted to solve this problem and I was like clueless. ' Tak tahu... saya tak pernah kene accident' Lol. And so he said 'Call la u punya abang ka ayah ka mak ka'. So I did and when my mom answered I couldn't say a word because if I did tears would come rolling down my cheeks. So I gave the phone to my sister. After my mom negotiated with the taxi driver I payed him RM 100. When I think about it. I don't really think he deserves the 100 bucks because his taxi was still ok. It was my mom's car that looked pretty bad. But he said he would need to replace the bumper with a new one or something so I just payed him to close the subject.

'Jangan bawak laju-laju' Excuse me? Who was driving laju-laju la uncle? But of course I didn't said anything because I was still shaking. I burst into tears right after I entered the car. My sister went to the clinic but there were a lot of people so she retreated back to the car. After a few minutes, I turned up the radio and drove back home. Nope Britney's song was not on the air waves. Imagine if it had.

Grabbed the Art

The Art for Grabs event yesterday was somewhat plain yesterday compared to the first one which was held earlier this year. There weren't a lot of people around probably
because it was the second day of the event which really is a blessing because
I didn't have to wade through a massive crowd. None of the handmade
items really caught my eye except for the bunny and cat plushies.
Hehe. I'm not really a fan of plushies but these ones looked
cute and would probably fetch a hefty price.
Okay, maybe not that hefty. Items are sold below
RM100 at this event but I'm not the type of person who
splurges on all these 'cute stuff'.
I only splurge on food (only under certain circumstances).
Haha. But I did bought 2 items anyway.
One, for myself and another
for a friend's sister.

by Ciyou Handmade

I bought this purse from Ciyou Handmade for RM 12.
Not bad.

The inner part

And a pair of ear rings for myself.
They were cheap so I bought a pair.
RM4.
Yeah, I know my camera phone sucks.
And my editing skills aren't much of a help either.

If you're a fan of the whole hand-made phenomenon then you might wanna check these blogs:

Transported into the Twilight Zone

5 things I like in Transporter 3:
  • The real star of the show, the Audi A8 (what a beauty)
  • The cool stunts that Mr Frank Martin did with the car
  • The camera angles
  • The cool and stylish yet life threatening bracelet
and
  • Natalya Rukakova's hair. But I'm still in love with Olga :)

2-wheeling, baby!

Look me in the eyes you freckled gloom and doom Russian...
erm...Ukrainian

Ah, yes. Her lovely hair.

5 things I like about Twilight:
  • The realistic awkwardness between a father and a daughter
  • The chemistry between the two leads
  • The shot where Bella first saw the Cullens
  • Bella's sense of maturity (She sounds stupid in the book)
  • Kristin Stewart :) Great acting from her.

Eventhough Robert Pattinson wasn't as gorgeous as I expected
him to be but theysure look great together.

Edward when he's not hungry. I think Bella outshines him.

She had so much hair. It looks better tied up.

Love these pics:
